This pattern is currently only available when purchasing Pompom magazine issue 29.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
Finished bust measurement: 84 (91, 99, 106.5, 114.5, 122, 129.5, 137)cm / 33 (36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 51, 54)” – to be worn with 5-10cm / 2-4” positive ease.
Model has 81cm / 32” bust, stands 157.5cm / 5’2” tall and is wearing a size 2.
Yarn: Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Sock (fingering / 4-ply weight; 100% superwash Merino wool; 365m / 400yds per 113g skein)
Shades:
Yarn A: Hollins Market; 1 skein
Yarn B: Rosemont; 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins
Yarn C: Charles Centre; 1 skein
Gauge: 24 sts & 34 rows = 10cm / 4” on 3.25mm needles after blocking.
Needles: 3.25mm / US 3 knitting needles
3mm / US 2.5 knitting needles AND circular needles, 40cm / 16” length (for collar)
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle
Notes: Rievaulx is knit flat, starting with the back from the top down. Sts are then picked up along the back shoulders for the front, which is also worked flat from the top down. Sleeve sts are picked up around the armhole, worked flat and shaped with short rows. Finally, the side seams are sewn using mattress stitch and sts are picked up around the neckline to knit the collar in the round.
The body of Rievaulx is worked with the instarsia method, using three colours per row. When working a row, always change yarn colour as established previously.

Rievaulx est tricoté à plat, en commençant avec le dos, du haut vers le bas. Des mailles sont relevées le long des épaules du dos pour tricoter le devant, qui est aussi tricoté à plat du haut vers le bas. Des mailles sont relevées pour tricoter les manches et le col. Finalement, les côtés sont cousus.
