Muriel

 

Muriel (aka Chandler for a her) is a simple “T” version of the Chandler pattern. With a square body, ample sleeves and textured stripes, this is a relatively easy knit and the result is beautiful. Worked from the top down starting with the back to the underarm, then with the front, the work is then joined together to knit the body in the round. Stitches are picked up for the collar and the sleeves. Part of the Friends First series.

Main Colour (MC): approximately 800 (860, 1050, 1160, 1275, 1500, 1630) metres or 875 (940, 1150, 1268, 1395, 1640, 1782) yards of fingering yarn (Sample shown in Orange Flower Superwash Merino in “Glass” and;

 

Contrasting Colour (CC): approximately 90 (90, 100, 100, 100, 100, 120) metres or 100 (100, 110, 110, 110, 110, 130) yards of fingering yarn (sample shown in Orange Flower Superwash Merino in Natural”)

 

3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle and DPNs 
3.25 mm/US 3 circular needle and DPNs

 

Tapestry needle, stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders

 

Sizes

 

XS (S, M, L1, L2, XL, XXL) = 35 (37.5, 42, 46.5, 51, 55.5, 59) inches or 89 (95, 106.5, 118, 130, 141, 150) cm finished circumference at the chest.

 

I suggest to choose a size with 5 to 13 cm or 2 to 5” of ease at the chest.

Model is shown with more than 10 cm or 4” of ease.

Muriel (ou Chandler pour elle) est une simple version en « T » du patron Chandler. Avec son corps carré, ses manches amples et rayures au point fantaisie, ce modèle est simple à tricoter et le résultat est superbe. Tricoté du haut vers le bas en commençant avec le dos jusqu’aux dessous de bras, ensuite avec le devant, les deux morceaux sont ensuite réunis pour tricoter le corps en rond. Des mailles sont relevées pour tricoter les manches et la bordure du col. Muriel fait partie de la collection “Friends First”.
