This beautiful cardigan is knit from the top-down, flat and in one piece. The sleeves are knit from the top-down also but in the round. The cardigan features a geometric colourwork pattern on the collar and it is folded and sewn on the inside for a beautiful finish, extra warmth and coziness.

 

The pattern comes with a few options. There are two lengths available: longer or shorter. It can be belted or worn open. And you can knit it with or without stripes on the body and the sleeves.

 

The colourwork on the collar is knit flat and because all wrong side rows are a repeat of the right side rows, you’re only required to purl the stitches with the same yarn colour as they appear on the needle.

    If you are knitting the longer version and plan on wearing it with the belt, I suggest to choose a size that will give you 7.5 cm/3 inches or more of positive ease. If you are knitting the short version or plan to not wear the belt with the longer version, this will add approximately 10 cm/4 inches to the circumference of the cardigan because the fronts will not be overlapped. In which case, you may want to choose a size that will give you 7.5 cm/3 inches or less of positive ease.
