Windjammer

 

This sweet little beret is knit from the bottom up, in the round and seamlessly. The stitch pattern consists of knits and purls that create a swirl-like design. Eyelets on the first row of the brim add a delicate touch.

 

Pattern available in English and French.

 

Materials

 

130-150 metres or 140-160 yards of Worsted yarn

 

Sample was made using one skein of the Plucky Knitter’s Bello Worsted, colorway “Ferris”

 

3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle (short, 16” to 20”) 
4.5 mm/US 7 circular needle (short, 16” to 20”) and four DPNs

 

Tapestry needle and five stitch markers

 

Finished size: 45 cm or 18” at the brim after blocking and 20 cm or 8” height

 

One size to fit a head size 47.5-57.5 cm or 19-23”

 

Gauge

 

20 sts and 28 rows = 4” or 10 cm Stockinette Stitch on 4.5 mm/US 7 needle

Ce joli petit béret est tricoté du bas vers le haut, en rond et sans couture. Des mailles à l’endroit et à l’envers créent un motif qui ressemble à un tourbillon. De petits trous au premier rang de la bordure ajoutent une touche délicate.
